We are back talking about one of those small business women this week, Jill Rossborough! Jill had a vision three years ago to start an art studio in Geneseo, New York for people of all ages. When I heard her plan from a close friend, I couldn't have been happier! I had always loved the idea of a Paint & Sip but the thought of driving to Rochester to do it just seemed silly. And then our dreams came true right here in little Geneseo, thanks to Jill! {I know, how selfish that I only thought of myself & my friends when Jill has so much offer to our children and others?! But hey, Mamas need a night out once in a while, too!}
Jill has a Masters in Art Education from Nazareth College. In addition to ArtSmart Studio, she also provides art therapy to developmentally disabled adults; art programs at local daycares; instructs Ceramics I & II at Genesee Community College; and will be leading the Art Director of Resident Camp at Camp Stella Maris this summer.
What started in 2015 as paint nights and art classes in the Community Center at Morgan Estates turned into ArtSmart Studio in it's very own space on Main Street in Geneseo. Since moving to Main Street, the class sizes have grown so much that ArtSmart outgrew the space and Jill had to make the decision to move again! This time to an amazing space at 4550 Millennium Drive, Suite #5 in Geneseo.
Jill continues to offer weekly classes based upon age/grade level. She will also be offering summer camps again this year in the month of August. {I know that my own daughter, as well as some of her friends, have truly learned & enjoyed all that Jill has to offer: from paintings, to ceramics, to henna and more.}
