We all spend so much time getting the inside of our homes ready for spring. Spring Cleaning; Spring Decluttering; Spring Organization.... However, by the time spring arrives in WNY, we're ready to BUST outside!
The winter blahs have helped me power through most of my organization woes {yes, even I have those!! If you haven't tackled yours yet, I can help!} But for now... back to SPRING & the outdoors!!
I happen to have the inside scoop on spring clean ups compliments of my own personal landscaper/husband, Ben - also the owner of Smith Landscaping {in Geneseo, NY}. Here are a few simple tasks to get your yard spring ready!
{I bet you all think that being married to a landscaper means that I am off the hook when it comes to such tasks... WRONG! He is usually so busy working that I tend to such chores around our house. He'll help when he can but we like to keep some of our free time for fun stuff!}
Now... for the essential tools for the tasks:
gardening gloves
gardening tools
rubber boots
plastic or metal leaf rake
pruners {small & large}
small handsaw or chainsaw
shovel
gas power broom {for those pesky stones in your lawn}
I am sure you are thinking that the current forecast is not conducive to getting out there & cleaning up your yard but DO IT! Soon the grass will be growing & those perennials will be coming back in - all of which will make your clean-ups a little more difficult.
Happy Spring!
